Some exciting news to share with you all. After 4 and a half years together James finally proposed!! It's not like I've been waiting a while now or anything...
We had booked a trip to Gibraltar and I must admit I definitely thought it must be THE trip. So many clues were pointing in the direction of it happening so I made sure my nails were all ready haha. As a traveller I had always wanted the engagement to be somewhere exciting and new and that's exactly what it was.
We had never been to Gibraltar and had a full jam packed itinerary of places to visit. On the first morning of our trip we had planned to do the cable car up to have breakfast at Mons Calpe Suite. James had asked me to wear 'one of my nicest outfits' to go here.. .Now of course that's a massive clue right!? When we got to the top he said he really wanted to go to the Skywalk here too. I was conscious of time being the time freak that I am and was slightly terrified of the amount of monkeys that were hanging around. In the moment I said to James that he should go along to the Skywalk by himself and take some photographs then he could just show me.
James was determined that I must go with him and at that moment I kind of knew what was coming.. We went to the Skywalk and with no-one around he got down on one knee with the most beautiful ring. It was perfect and all I had dreamed of. I never wanted people watching so apart from the odd monkey hanging about it was perfect. On one side of the sea we could see Morrocco and on the other side there was Spain. Just two continents there just waiting to meet.
We spent the rest of our time in Gibraltar celebrating and visiting all the famous sites. I'll do another blog with these details soon! Emma x
