All aboard HMS Belfast! PR Trip

thegirlwhotravelst

HMS Belfast is the most significant surviving Second World War Royal Navy warship. Since her launch over 80 years ago, she fired some of the first shots at the D-Day landings, served in the Arctic Convoys, and in the Korean War.

We were invited by Imperial War Museums to climb aboard HMS Belfast as it has recently been restored and is now open to the public again following a year of being closed.

You can discover brand new interactive displays and immersive historical exhibitions. There are nine decks to explore and you can even climb to the top of the flat deck!

You could easily spend a day on here and learn about HMS Belfast's history from her launch on St Patrick's Day 1938 to her 25 years active Royal Navy service and life as a London landmark for the past 50 years. There is a coffee shop on board so you can easily restock your energy levels!

When I was younger I stayed on the ship with Girl Guides and it was such a fun experience. It was so great to be able to return to the ship years later to rediscover and really appreciate the history of this incredible ship.
