So I'm always someone who wants to try and budget wherever possible when on my travels so looking for affordable accommodation is always a plus for me!
I recently went on a camping trip to explore the UK a bit more. I travelled with friends to the New Forest and we rented a camper van for the week (don't worry we didn't all fit in just one!). The camper van hire was so affordable at £400 for the week and comes with a double bed, spare bed, camping stove, cutlery and gas for the stove. It also came with this snazzy canopy which is extremely handy for all weather - rain and shine!!
We stayed at Ashurst Campsite which has cleaning and washing facilities on site. The best part about the campsite was the fact that it has horses wandering around! You really are surrounded by nature and there were so many country walks that you could do across the national park. The campsite is situated close to nearby towns and a half hour drive from Southampton should you want livelier scenery later on!
The moral of this story is that I really think we should give camping more of a chance! The experience is brilliant and it's great fun! #letsgocamping #camping #newforest #travel #affordabletravel #countryside
